Starting a Junior Division |
If your Division is interested in starting a Junior Division, please review the National Board’s Junior Hibernian Handbook which is located on the National Board’s website. The Handbook is very informative and will provide you with all the information you will need to proceed. Remember that the State Board and the Junior Coordinators are available to provide any guidance that you may need.

VIRTUS Training |
What is it?
VIRTUS is a program to educate adults about the warnings signs of abuse, ways to prevent abuse, and methods of reporting suspicions of abuse of children and vulnerable adults. Why do I, as a member of the LAOH, need VIRTUS training? At the 2012 National Convention in Turning Stone, the delegation assembled voted on the requirement of this training for all who have contact with our Junior Divisions. This includes Vice Presidents, Junior Coordinators, parents, and others. This requirement went into effect January 2014. It is strongly recommended that all members of the LAOH take this training, especially those who hold office (any office) and those wishing to become officers. Okay, so when and where is this training? Check with your local church or diocese, or visit VIRTUS Online. |
